Peer Reviews

Hello everyone, I hope my post finds you all well and in good spirits. I cannot believe that we have just 2 or some may say 1 more unit to go. Time went by so quick because before I knew it I was writing my first draft for my project. This project took a lot of time for me and I have been up 3 days until 5 am trying to write my first draft.Well the time has caught up on me and I felt like I was about to get sick so I went to the doctor and had my blood levels checked. Enough of me and my life. For this weeks discussion, when I read what we had to do I was a little nervous because I have never actually reviewed anyone's project I have only proof read what I have written or my husband's work. Afer reading the questions and several projects and the responses, I got the hang of it I think. It was not that bad at all. It is like your close friend been very honest with you and not hiding anything. i really liked getting feed back on what I need to do to make my project better even if it meant that I have to redo the who;e project. I want to make sure that I get a good grade and that my paper will be useful now and in the future. Perr reviews for me is a good way to see what people think of your writing and it helps you to be a better writer too.I have not had any bad encounters with peer reviews and I am always open to comments and critique because that is what makes you a better writer and that is what makes you paper better.

These last six weeks

Hello Everyone, I hope you all had a good six weeks so far. The last six week were okay for me except for some terrible headaches and a few aches and pain here and there. This week project was a little tedious for me because I could not find the part that I have already wrote and then I had to do it all over.I have been having some headache episodes and i was suppose to see the nureologist fornm Februaury 5 but I have to work off my husbands schedule. Therefore, I have not seen them yet which I need to and, I know I am not dehydrated because I drink alot of water throughout the day. My husband just got promoted to a Front Desk Manager and it is taking all his time. When he is off he has to get a haircut and do all kinds of other stuff.I told him that he is married to his job and just having an affair with me.He goes to work like 6:00am and do not come off till 10pm. For the last few weeks my daughter has been decorating my walls with her crayons even when I thought I got all of them, she still finds more. I am still potty training her and she is doing well except when I put her in pull-ups. So, I let her wear her panties which allows her to go potty when she feels the urge. Also for the past few weeks I was looking for cheap tickets to go to Jamaica with my daughter for one of my very good friend mom's wedding. Her mom is like a mom to me and it would be great but I said I will save that money and pay off credit cards. Well that is just about it for me.

School influencing my life

Hello all, I decided to write about how school is influencing my life and how it has. Being back at school will give me a better life for me and my family. School has influenced me in so many ways and I am thankful everyday that I have the opportunity to attend school and still spend time with my family. I used to be so unorganized but, being at school has influenced me to be a more organized person. Also, I am getting a little better at time management because we have a deadline when all our assignments need to be turned in and,receiving a 0 for an assignment brings your grades down a lot. Right now I am learning a lot and I am learning about things I never knew about. School has a big influence on my life and my writing in general and I have been tweaking my lifestyle after taking nutrition classes. So school is and has definitely influenced my life a great deal

Plagiarism

First of all,plagiarism is using someone else's words or ideas and passing it off as your own. Plagiarism is very dishonest and using other people's words or ideas without citing it can be very serious. You can be expelled form your school, fired from your job or you may be facing a law suit. Even if you paraphrase, you need to cite the source or sources ans you need to also put them on your reference page. Direct quotes also needs to be cited because if it is not, it is considered plagiarism. Plagiarism can be checked and this happens then you can be in big trouble. I have never really heard of plagiarism until I started Kaplan and I am very happy that I know about it and also how to cite these sources. Citing is very importnat and should be practiced all the time even if it is verbally. Never pass someone else's ideas as you own. Always cite both in the body text and on the reference page. Sometimes you could accidently plagarise that is why you need to check your sources and writ them down so you do not forget where you got your information from, Accidentally or not, plagiarism is plagiarism.
